Dear colleagues:

Our annual meeting on November 29, 2011 was well attended.  We discussed a variety of issues that are noted in the minute of the meeting.

I was truly delighted to see the attendance of a good number of new members-in-training, interns and residents, in this year's meeting.  I would like to take this opportunity to thank all of you once more in addition to my personal letter that I sent to each of you.   It is my sincere request from you, the younger generation, to continue in getting actively involved in managing, advancing and implementing new ideas in NAIRS.  As I have mentioned in the past, this society was built on the premises of academically assisting each other and  spreading the new knowledge through a collegial relationship. Now it is your time.

In this endeavor, Dr. Vahid Yaghmai has accepted to take the lead as our president starting November 2012.  I am sure he will be successful.  I sincerely urge you to support him by your participation in presenting new ideas and helping him in its implementation.

The 28th Iranian Congress of Radiology (ICR) is around the corner and will be held in Olympic Hotel in Tehran from May 15^th through 18^th, 2012.  As I noted in my report of last year's meeting, ICR is a world class meeting worth to attend.  This mini RSNA, in my view, has a lot to offer academically and socially.  I urge all of you who have the time to take advantage of all aspects of this event.  It goes without saying that your academic participation by presenting your papers is welcomed.  Please visit the ICR site for more information:  www.icrad.ir and click on 28^th Iranian congress of Radiology.
