PRESENT:

Dr. Shirkhoda called the meeting to order at 7:00 pm.  He welcomed the guests from Iran.  The minutes of the 2009 meeting were approved.  He thanked Dr. Karim Rezai, our Webmaster, for his continuous care of the NAIRS website.  He thanked Dr. Afshang on behalf of all the members for taking the time and burden in arranging our annual meeting in Chicago.  Dr. Afshang has been doing this arrangement for several years. The audience applauded Dr. Afshang’s efforts.

Those attending introduced themselves. 

Dr. Tehranzadeh gave the financial report on behalf of Dr. Raofi, who could not attend. 

Dr. Shirkhoda introduced the next president of NAIRS, Dr. Javad Jamshidi.

Dr. Jamshidi spoke about the future, and exhorted members to participate actively in their local medical societies and in the politics of medicine.  He congratulated Dr. Ali Shirkhoda on the publication of the revised edition of his book, Variants and Pitfalls in Body Imaging.  He also congratulated Dr. Tehranzadeh on publication of his book of Musculoskeletal Imaging Cases.

Dr Shirkhoda introduced Dr Vahid Yaghmai as the nominee for the president elect of NAIRS.

Dr. Mansoor Fatehi reported on the Iranian Society of Radiology activities.

Dr. Tehranzadeh thanked Dr. Shirkhoda for his leadership during his two years of presidency and acknowledged his efforts in bringing the two Iranian radiological societies closer together.

The meeting adjourned at 9:30 pm.
